A MAN died after taking a lethal cocktail of drugs, an inquest heard.
James Reilly, aged 37, had a history of mental illness and had taken two overdoses of prescription drugs prior to his death.
He was living at the Manchester Methodist Housing Association, in Chorley Old Road, Bolton, when he took the fatal dose of anti-depressants, painkillers and anti-psychotic drugs.
Care workers found his body when they broke into his room at 10.30pm on April 12 after being unable to contact him earlier in the day. He had been dead for around 10 hours.
Mr Reilly moved to Bolton from Scotland after a relationship broke down.
He spoke to counsellors about self harming and took two overdoses in June and September last year.
Coroner Alan Walsh recorded a verdict of suicide.
