STORIES of First World War casualties who are buried in the borough are to be told for the first time.
WLCT will share some of the stories its archives and local studies team has discovered about casualties from Wigan and Leigh at an open day in Wigan Crematorium, in Lower Ince Cemetery, on April 12 from 10am until 1pm.
General tours of the facility will take place every 30 minutes and - as part of a bigger project commemorating the centenary of the war – there will be a history walk at 11am.
