A NEW sporting era has begun with artificial pitches at Leigh Sports Village now open for multi-activity use.
The so-called third generation (3G) rubber crumb artificial turf uses the latest available technology in artificial grass, which mimics the performance and characteristics of natural grass as closely as possible.
The playing areas available for hire are all floodlit and include a full size rugby pitch, and other playing areas which suit 5, 6, 7 and 9 a-side football games. Excellent changing facilities are also available.
