NINE-years-old Melissa Lucas' rare act had the judges on "Britain's Got Talent" as well as millions of telly viewers spellbound.
The bubbly Leigh girl announced before going on that she is the only one doing what she does and that if she could win and perform in front of the royal family it would be brilliant.
Sadly her dream is not to be.
I don't know if her performance - playing an harmonica while hoola hooping - was meant to be funny but Piers Morgan was in stitches and voted her through to the next round.
However, the programme's Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell, buzzed her off after five seconds and advised her to concentrate on one or the other as her hoola hooping was making her harmonica out of tune.
What a nerve and what great spirit Melissa showed. Oh to have such confidence.
It's definitely the taking part that counts.
When she came off Ant or Dec, I still can't tell which is which, had clearly enjoyed the act and advised her to go and have fun and hoola hoop herself crazy.
Melissa's had an early 15 minutes of fame. May she go on to greater success.
