Standing firm over BT bill

9:30am Tuesday 26th August 2008

WE don’t get just bills these days - more like threatening letters.

My latest quarterly BT bill for £47.29 orders me to make sure the company receives the sum due by August 21 - just six days after I received it.

Not much time to sort it out is it?

I wouldn’t mind but the cost of calls only amounted to £6.41.

It’s scandalous that £4.50 is added as a payment processing fee for not paying by standing order. It shouldn’t be allowed. Why should customers be penalised for hanging on to their own money?

It’s about time these charges were stopped
