I’VE had two embarrassing coat incidents in a week.

I was in Aldi looking at flowers when a kind woman came up and told me I had a price label hanging from my collar at the back. Pity it wasn’t Prada instead of hospice shop.

Then I acted as a taxi driving to the posh Byng Hotel on Southport Promenade and went in loaded up with another coat on inside out. This was pointed out by the porter who carted the bags off. Well it was teeming with rain when I put it on as I got out of the car.

I must be going gaga, but I put it down to stress.

At least it raised a laugh in both cases.
