I DON’T know why we have started to go over the top with everything.

So it’s sad that the troubled superstar and King of Pop Michael Jackson has died at such a early age, but these things happen.

Radio 2 was entitled to pay tribute but I think they played every record he made on every programme all day.

It spoiled my listening because, sorry, I wasn’t a fan.

The only songs of his I really liked were Ben and a couple of other slow ones.

I wish people would stop all this false outpouring of grief for people they don’t know – and save it for those who really matter.

Perhaps we could also have some proof that he is dead so people don’t start saying they have seen him alive in 20 years time - like they do with the late King of Rock, Elvis.
