HAS the art of saying thank you died out asks a regular reader?

Yes.

She says for years she has bought and sent presents to friends and their children for special occasions, but no-one has ever let her know if they liked them or even received them.

When she has asked she has been told they can’t be bothered responding.

Well she has decided this year she is adopting the same attitude and not sending any.

I don’t blame her? See if they’ll care then.

Thankfully there are still people with manners. My god daughter always rings to say thanks for gifts and for that I am grateful.
