I AM one of the many TOGGS who have deserted Radio 2 after the leaving of Wogan.
After getting used to 30 years of the lilting, silver tongued Irishman and his middle of the road music, I find fast talking Warringtonian Chris Evans a bit too frantic.
He is good at his job, but not want we golden oldies are used to first thing in the moaning!
Nobody likes change, and I was willing to giving becoming a COGG a go, but not in its present format.
It has been nice to have the calm of Richard Allinson standing in for a holidaying Chris this week - and Johnnie Walker was always a good reserve too.
The younger Evans fans won’t agree, but I rather enjoy a bit of quieter company after crawling out of bed.
