BEST wishes for a speedy recovery to MP’s wife Frankie Burham.

She made the only decision possible in her case to have a life saving double mastectomy after discovering she carried a faulty breast cancer gene.

Losing a 39-years-old sister to the disease three years ago and with her mother and elder sister both being treated for it meant there really was no option for the 40-years-old.

I know I would have it done tomorrow without any qualms if I thought I ran the risk.

Perhaps Frankie’s highlighted case will mean that others affected by breast cancer running through their family will benefit from following the genetic testing route.

It must be worth investigating.
