Do not ever try this at home.

A popular YouTube vlogger has been labelled "an idiot" after posting a series of videos on his Facebook account showing him playing with fireworks - by putting them in his MOUTH.

Simon Parsons, 26, runs a YouTube channel called 'Commonly Known as Simon', where he posts videos of his antics.

But his latest stunt has caused a wave of controversy, as he puts a lit firework in his mouth at a party.

Neighbours say he terrified their pets and that they were unable to sleep until 2am because of fireworks being let off in the street.

In a second slow-motion video he can be seen holding a firework in his hand.

Simon said: "I was throwing a Halloween house party and did it because I know I can safely.

"I do not advocate reckless or dangerous use of fireworks. I've been using them for stunts for years and know how to use them safely, nobody should replicate what I do.

"I've never injured myself or anyone else and always take precautions before using fire or explosives.

"My YouTube channel Commonly Known as Simon, is set in post apocalyptic future, the characters are stuck in a world left behind for them with no real aim to guide them through one situation to the next.

"From the very beginning of my channel I've always used extreme imagery to capture attention and cause controversy with a fair amount of success.

"I play all the characters so I have to do all the stunts. Sometimes using fire or fireworks are just essential to the image I want to create."

Simon was slammed for his stupidity by viewers of his video.

Martin Claridge wrote on Facebook: "Idiot, what sort of example is he setting?"

Jay Carter wrote: "And they wonder why authorities want to put more rules and regulations in place. Just ruining it for everyone else."

Rose Wood added: "He is nuts."
