A FOOD bank is appealing to the public for help to re-stock its shelves after an unprecedented rise in demand.
The Brick food bank distributed around 30 food parcels a week to people in crisis last year across the borough but in recent months the charity has been handing out nearer to 150 food parcels each week.
To help combat the looming crisis The Brick in Wigan is organising a special Food For Thought Day on June 26 and is appealing for people to get involved and help out.
