TYLDESLEY’S senior colts started the new year on top with a win against a competitive Burnley side.
Tyldesley were on the front foot for the vast majority of a first half that brought four tries, three of which were gems due to some brilliant handling.
The hosts crossed for the first after only two minutes.
Tyldesley turned the ball over and Rushton finished off a good piece of team play.
Six minutes later Hargreaves opened up the defence with a great break and then good hands put Donegan over between the posts.
Despite plenty of pressure, it took another 10 minutes for the next try to arise.
Ball, Lloyd, and Unsworth worked well for Hargreaves who cut through for Tyldesley’s third in the nineteenth minute.
With Prendergast crashed over in the 32nd minute after Ball took a quick tap penalty.
Most could have been forgiven for thinking the game would turn into a land slide given Bongs crossed for two more tries within six minutes of the restart courtesy of a pushover and Whittle.
