LEIGH Genesis under 10s this week named Reece Latham as their supporters’ player of the month for December.

Reece has been part of the team as Genesis have maintained their place stay at the top of Bolton and Bury League E.

Coach Dean Pickup is full of praise for Reece.

He said: "Reece has been brilliant so far this season and has consistently played well.

“He actually played in goal last season and wanted a chance to play as an outfielder.

“His performances to date have been superb and he really enjoys his football.

“He is a committed young lad and brings great enthusiasm to the team.

“His no-nonsense defending has made him stand out during games.

“He is first to training and always gives his all.

“Hopefully he can continue his great form and help his teammates have a great finish to the season."
