Open day at Hilton Park

NEW amateur rugby league club Hilton Park are staging an open day at The Hilton, Leigh Road, on Saturday, at noon.

All players, sponsors and committee members will be attending, while invited special guests include Leigh legend Tommy Sale, ex-Widnes prop Jim Mills and Leigh Centurions’ head coach Paul Rowley, whose father Alan is a member of the committee chaired by Phil Denman.

Hilton Park, a club with Leigh Centurions’ former ground close to their heart, will be playing in North West Men’s League Division Two when the new summer season starts in March.

The team, coached by former Leigh East boss Mick Fishwick, will play home games at Leigh Miners Rangers’ Manchester Road ground.
