All-rounder Mullaney signs for cricket side

LEIGH Cricket Club have re-signed Steven Mullaney for the 2013 season.

When his Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club commitments allow, Mullaney be turning out for Leigh under the leadership of Mattie McKiernan.

Mullaney has been in demand for 2013, not surprising with a batting average for Leigh in 2012 of 70.44 and a bowling average of 12.26.

McKiernan said that it is a reflection of the status, the strength and the ambition of Leigh that they have been able to attract and keep players like Mullaney at the club.

He added: “It continues to show our intent to challenge in the strong ECB Liverpool Competition Premier League.”

Mullaney is currently playing in the strong Melbourne Grade Cricket Competition with Dandenong.
