COLLS visited Nelson hoping to complete their first North West Counties Football League Division One double of the season.

It took less than two minutes to take the lead.

A Gareth Peet free kick on the edge of the area left the Nelson defence static as the ball sailed straight into the net.

The lead was doubled with a superb effort from Peet.

Five minutes later and Peet turned provider for Paul Atherton to head home and effectively end the game.

Jonah O’Reilly hit the post with a shot on the hour mark and Peet missed his hat-trick chance by shooting over the bar nine minutes from time.

On Saturday Colls host Northwich Villa, kick off 3pm.
