Junior colts unbeaten to win league title ahead of National Cup bid

LEIGH RUFC’s junior colts have ended their league season with an unbeaten record to take the title of Raging Bull C League champions 2013.

Showing style in attack and tenacity in defence, Leigh have managed to overcome more illustrious opposition to put the town on the map at RFU headquarters.

As reward for their achievements, the lads have been nominated to represent their league in the National Cup competition, a sudden death affair which could ultimately lead to a trip to Twickenham.

But the first step along that path is a short 300 mile round trip to face Northumberland giants, Horden, next Sunday.

It can never be said that the Leigh lads get to do things the easy way.
