A HINDLEY Green teenager fought his way to Muay Thai Boxing success, clinching the Junior British Celtic Champion belt.

Tom Langin scooped the 63kgs title in spectacular fashion, winning all five rounds comfortably and taking a unanimous decision.

The 15-year-old took the belt from defending champion Lee Baker during one of the country’s biggest junior shows in Manchester.

It was a fourth career win for the St Mary’s pupil in only his fifth fight, the other ending in a draw.

Fighting for the first time with head contact allowed, Langin overcame an opponent wearing a body shield and head guard to claim the belt.

Langin is currently training four to five times a week under senior instructor Steve Boyes at the MMA Academy in Little Hulton as he prepares for his next clash at Fighting Machines in Haydock this September.
