RECORD breaking Leigh Miners Ladies recorded an 84-point victory against Hunslet Hawks on Sunday.
The hosts ran in 16 tries as Hunslet replied with a solitary unconverted score to post a record 88-4 win.
Mandy Edge opened the scoring, before Rachel Thompson increased the lead Thompson added her second try to give Miners an 18-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes.
Helena Farrimond, Emily Mullen and Leanne Johnson all touched down before Thompson completed a first half hat-trick, collecting the ball from the kick-off to sprint 60m and finish.
Clare Thompson exchanged with Megan Eastwood to give Miners a 44-point half time lead.
Leanne Johnson opened the scoring after the interval, before Thompson scored again and Johnson completed her hat-trick.
Further tries from Catherine Watt and Mullen extended Miners’ lead to 72-0, before Hunslet’s consolation.
Rachel and Clare Thompson added to their tally and player-of-the-match Mullen completed her hat-trick, adding to12 conversions for a 36-point haul.
