IT is all going on at Leigh Sports Village.

This weekend matches will start to come thick and fast for Leigh Centurions.

After hosting Wigan on Sunday, Centurions take on Salford Red Devils (January 24, 7.30pm), North Wales Crusaders (January 26, 3pm) and Warrington Wolves (February 2, 3pm).

The Kingstone Press Championship season starts in earnest on February 16 when Centurions welcome Batley to Leigh Sports Village.

Tickets start from £14 (£8 concs, £2 U16s) for the Wigan game.

Meanwhile, Barclays U21 Premier League Football returns to LSV on Monday.

Blackburn Rovers’ U21 side welcome the reigning FA Youth Cup holders Norwich City.

Rovers will be hoping to start the year in better fashion than they ended 2013 – the 2-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough leaving Eric Kinder’s side anchored to the foot of the Barclays U21 Premier League.

But they will be up against a hugely confident Norwich City side featuring many of the players who won the FA Youth Cup in 2013.

Canaries to watch out for include powerful forward Carlton Morris, who secured a two-and-a-half year contract after an impressive display against Preston in December, and the Murphy twins Josh and Jacob.

Both England U19 internationals, Josh in particular has made such an impression that he has made a number of first-team substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and scored a tremendous goal in the Capital One Cup. And it will be a much-changed side for Rovers, too.

Since the Middlesbrough game, Jordan Slew has joined Ross County on loan, while Kellen Daly and John O’Sullivan went to Skrill Conference Premier side Southport on loan last week.

Kick off is 7pm. Tickets are £4, £2 concs, with Blackburn Rovers season ticket holders going free.
