TWO Leigh Centurions rising talents Joe Bullock and Craig Briscoe have joined Barrow Raiders on loan.

Head coach Paul Rowley said: "Craig and Joe both join Barrow with clear directives and goals to assist them in their future Leigh careers.

"I feel that by both of them playing regular first-team rugby at a good level is what both players require at this stage in their careers to add consistency and experience to their obvious talents.

"They both remain a big part of the Centurions' future plans and this is all part of their development as professional rugby league players, which suits all parties and both players are excited and positive about their short-term challenge at Barrow.

"I have maintained a strong working relationship with the Barrow club over the past couple of seasons and this goes to further strengthen that relationship."

Briscoe and Bullock join Chris Rowe, who is already on loan at Barrow, along with former Leigh players Aaron Lloyd and Ian Mort, who are there at Paul Rowley's recommendation.

Football director Derek Beaumont said: "Paul has a difficult job this season with the strength in depth that we have as part of our longer term goals of building for the future.

"Both Joe and Craig are performing extremely well and I am delighted Paul has been able to manufacture a way for them to continue that development whilst keeping them in our ranks.

"Their performances against North Wales in particular demonstrated they are far too advanced to be fringing our first team and playing in our 20s.

"We will be monitoring them closely and are confident they will continue to develop which will benefit us going forward. They are looking forward to the challenge which is testament to their characters, ambition and commitment to the future of our club."
