LEIGH Miners Rangers under 18s continued their fine start to the campaign with a 32-22 win at Halifax-based Kings Cross Park in the second round of the BARLA National Cup.
They are rewarded with a home tie – and an interesting one for the neutrals – as they will host Leigh East on March 2.
Two tries for Alex McPolin and singles for Jamie Hall, Deacon Monks, Adam Ashurst, four goals, followed by the game-clincher from Ben Grimshaw, did the job against Kings Cross.
Ashurst enjoyed an outstanding game at full back but was pipped for the match award by Declan Flannery.
