MINERS Rangers went down to Premier Division leaders Lock Lane.
Miners drew first blood when Kieron Eccleston dived over the whitewash, Jonny Youds adding the conversion.
Lane hit back immediately, moving the ball left for Tom Wood to score out wide and then going ahead through Nathan Fozzard.
Miners’ Shaun Dowie was held up over the line, with Lane then increasing their lead with tries from Chris Siddons and Craig Duncan.
However, Eccleston added his second and Adam Thomason wrestled over after a Danny Rowse drop goal. Fozzard swooped again for Lane, but Miners responded when Aaron Gorton darted from the base of the scrum to score, only for the hosts’ Jordan Siddons to then force his way over and seal victory.
Miners’ under 18s lost at Blackbrook. Tries came from Elliot Liku, two, Jamie Hall and Chris Worrall, Adam Ashurst kicked two goals as they went down 36-20.
On Friday, the Alliance host Woolston, 7.30pm and on Saturday the first team entertain league new-boys East Leeds 2.30pm.
The under 18s are at home to Ince Rose Bridge on Sunday, 1pm.
