LEIGH Sports Village will enjoy a festival of sport this weekend when Manchester United, City, Chelsea and Leigh Centurions visit the stadium.

On Friday, March 21 at 7pm, Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Barclays under 21s Premier League.

United forward James Wilson scored a hat-trick in his last game and will be eager to catch first team manager David Moyes’ eye.

Chelsea sit third in the league and boast in-form forward Islam Feruz. Both teams have previously fielded multi-million-pound talent, such as Wilfried Zaha and Marko Marin.

City are locked on 28 points with Chelsea and United as the sides battle for a play-off spot and the right to be named champions.

City are coached by Patrick Vieira and have Devante Cole – son of Andrew – leading the line.

Rovers will be looking for three points to lift them level with Newcastle at the bottom of the table.

On Sunday, Leigh Centurions take on North Wales Crusaders in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Centurions will also be celebrating signing the free-scoring Ryan Brierley and Martyn Ridyard on new three-year contracts, but face a newly-promoted North Wales side who have made a solid start to life at this level, winning two of their three games so far.
