ON a bright, but bitterly cold day, A&T entertained Heckmondwike in a Northern League fixture at Gin Pit.

In the Division One match, A&T took two maximum 7-3 heat wins early on to move into a 10-point lead after heat four.

The next four races were shared points, to make the interval score 45-35.

The home side stepped up a gear after the interval, banging in four 7-3 heat wins, to run out comfortable 87-63 winners, for their second Division One win of the season.

This was a good solid team performance by A&T, with the main body of the team all scoring well.

Polish flyer Pawel Idziorek won all his five races for the visitors, but Darren Kent was the Tykes' only other race winner in heat nine.
