LEIGH East got their first points of the season in National Conference League Division Two after Adam Holland slotted over the winning drop goal.

Dudley Hill took the lead but East got back on track on 15 minutes when winger Josh Giluley went over, with with Holland converting.

Dale Allred broke away to score for a 12-6 East advantage and Sam Grainey extended the lead on 27 minutes.

Just before half time the visitors crossed again to bring the scores closer at 18-10.

Four minutes into the new period Holland slid through for East’s final converted try but Hill stepped up a gear in the final 15 minutes, responding with two converted tries and a 76th minute penalty to level things up.

But East had the last cheer with Holland slotting over the drop goal in the 79th minute.
