TYLDESLEY Netball Club recently got the opportunity to support Superleague netball team Manchester Thunder at the Thunderdome in Gorton by being their ball patrol.

The opportunity is an annual event for the club whose aim is to ensure local netballers can gain inspiration by watching top level netballers such as Wigan’s own Sara Bayman.

Thunder are managed by ex-England netballer Tracey Neville and Tracey took time out to have a chat with the girls about their netball.

Tyldesley must have been lucky mascots as Manchester Thunder went on to beat Team Northumbria.

Emma Toone, head coach at Tyldesley. said: "What a great opportunity for these girls to watch Superleague and aspire to be high-performing netballers.

“The girls were a credit to the club in their behaviour and have been asked back to ball patrol again."
