Whitwam crosses in second place
TOM Whitwam will enter the final regional round of the British Youth and Junior League in first position after a second place finish in Stockport on Saturday.
The year five St Ambrose Primary School student tops the North of England Scotland under 12s region after round three.
The 10-year-old was the only competitor to win all four heats, making it to the A final and drawing gate four.
He put in a fierce battle to finish in second place, enough to ensure he heads into the final round at Edinburgh next month in leading the charts.
