GIN Pit welcomed Hull for a Northern League fixture against Astley and Tyldesley on Sunday.

In the Division One match, Astley and Tyldesley moved into a 33-26 lead after six races, but Hull hit back immediately to level the scores two races later.

A&T responded with successive 7-3 heat wins either side of the interval to open up a 53-45 lead. However, as before, Hull hit back, moving ahead by one point after heat 12.

In a dramatic finish, A&T banged in three successive maximum scores to finally put the match beyond Hull's reach and go 79-66 ahead.

The last three heats were played out without change with A&T running out 94-80 winners. A&T were solid scoring from one to eight, with Danny Hughes top scoring and the rest contributing well.

The Division Two match proved even closer with only two points separating the teams heading into the final race.

A&T went in one point ahead and the Reece Pollitt/Adam Phillips pairing raced away to take an easy 7-3 heat win to give A&T a 77-72 victory.

Reece Pollitt and Adam Phillips both raced unbeaten for A&T.

There were no such fears in Division Three, where Hull failed to field a single rider. Max Evans raced unbeaten, with Ben Dickinson losing only to Matthew Snell in Heat One.
