THE inaugural ATSA Key Stage Two Cricket Festival took place at Astley and Tyldesley Cricket Club on Friday.

St George's Central, Sacred Heart, Parklee, St Richard's, Meadowbank, Hindsford, St Michael's, Tyldesley Primary and St Philip's all brought teams to compete in the event.

The schools were divided into three groups with the teams comepeting to see who could make highest aggregate score to become the overall festival winner.

Once all the matches were completed and the scores were worked out, it was Sacred Heart who managed to score a magnificent 549 as the clear winners and crowned the KS2 Cricket Festival champions.
