EAST first team travelled to Yorkshire looking to carry on where they left off last week against Pilkington Recs but were unable to come away with the points.
East made five key changes leading up to the game which showed on the field when they came up against a big enthusiastic set from Elland.
Try scorers for East were Sam Grainey and Adam Holland, who also added two goals.
Orrell St James 10 Leigh East u18 28 EAST travelled the short distance to Wigan and took an early lead when Ellis Noon crossed in the first set of the game.
East increased the lead when Jack Hansen took their big pack on to score betwen the posts, both goaled by Tom Worthington.
Orrell pulled one back before Billy Allred crossed out wide to make it 18-6 at half time.
East then scored early in the second half when Allred broke and rounded the fullback to score his second of the match which was quickly followed up by his hat-trick try out wide, but Tom Worthington was unable to add the extras.
Orrell refused to give up and got a late consolation try in the last minute.
