ASTLEY and Tyldesley enjoyed a double celebration with the junior team clinching the Manchester League Division Two title and Emily Burgess winning the under 10s Manchester League Individual Grand Prix series.

Stockport hosted the sixth and concluding round of the Manchester League Grand Prix series on Wednesday.

In the Division Two (junior) match, Astley and Tyldesley raced to their fifth win in the series to clinch the league title in fine style, with all the team's riders scoring well.

Bury's Daniel Miller scored a 16 points maximum in the under 10s match, but A&T showed their strength with all six riders taking the next highest scoring places in the match.

Emily Burgess scored 15 points to clinch the under 10s Manchester League Grand Prix series, while Charlie Dickinson had his best match to date, also scoring 15, losing only to Emily last time out.

Ben Dickinson also lost only to Emily, with a strong performance from Charlie Burgess.

Max Evans raced to an unbeaten 16 points in the under 13s match, with good support from Matt Snell on 13 points.

Reece Pollitt was A&T's sole rider in the under 16s category, where he joint top-scored with 14 points.

Stockport took their sixth win of the series in the Division One (senior) match. Reece Pollitt was A&T's lone rider, scoring an impressive 11 points, after suffering a gate exclusion first time out.
