LEIGH Centurions stand-off Martyn Ridyard has become the first player to win the Kingstone Press Player of the Week award in consecutive weeks.
Just eight days after earning the accolade with his performance against Rochdale Hornets, Ridyard produced another influential display in the Centurions’ 36-6 win at Batley Bulldogs.
Leigh coach Paul Rowley said: “Martyn has been a class above recently.
“Like any good orchestrating player, he comes up with the big plays when he needs to, whether that be a 40/20 kick or a key pass to put a player through a hole.
“He has great game sense, and that shows through at the times when it matters most.”
