MEMBERS of Tyldesley Swimming and Water Polo Club are enjoying success in both disciplines.

Swimmer Imogen Bailey competed in four events at the Welsh Summer Nationals 2014. She reached all four finals and achieved three personal bests.

200m Backstroke - Final - 2:48:16

200m Freestyle - Final - PB - 2:25:18

200m Butterfly - Final - PB - 2:40:94 - SILVER MEDAL

50m Backstroke - Final - PB - 36.08

This was Bailey's first national event and she achieved her personal goals by reaching the finals, swimming to silver medal position in the 200m Butterfly.

Jess Sloan competed in eight events.

Hayley Price and Grace Rowland have been selected to represent GB Under 17s Water Polo Girls' team.

The GB under 17s finished second in the tournament in Warendorf, Germany, with the competition hosted by the German u18s team.

The GB team were based at a military sports school called Sportschule der Bundeswehr, in Warendorf in the west of Germany, which is used as the German High Performance Centre .
