SNOWBOARD sensation Nicole Haines bagged a silver medal at the Scottish Indoor Slopestyle Championships at the weekend.

Haines took second place in the under 12s age category and a respectable 6th overall position out of 11 girls.

She executed a clean safe first run, hitting the top box switch and then hitting the butta box with a nice board slide.

Haines hit the large kicker with a good shifty and then went on to the bottom box switch with a nice tail press.

"I could have done more difficult tricks," said the youngster about her second run.

Haines aired next to the rail on the hard line which she was trying to tail tap, she hit the corrugated pipe clean and then got some big air and a shifty over the large kicker which was cleaner than her first run finishing with a board slide, switch off on the bottom box.

She is now back to her training and is focused on achieving gold at The Indoor Brits at her home slope Chill Factore where she is a sponsored rider on October 11.
