LEIGH Centurions are champions!
Paul Rowley's side defeated Featherstone Rovers 36-12 in tonight's Championship Grand Final at Headingley in Leeds.
Centurions, who finished the season top of the table after only one league loss all campaign, led 18-0 early on but were pegged back to 20-12 early in the second half before pulling clear again.
A spectacular dive into the corner from Adam Higson stifled Fev's comeback and late tries from Sam Barlow and Ryan Brierley, along with the first-half scores from Matt Sarsfield, Gregg McNally and Tom Armstroong ensured a fitting finale to a wonderful season by Leigh.
