LEIGH Miners Rangers are calling on the town to get behind them as they head into the fifth round of the Challenge Cup for the first time on Sunday at 2pm at Leigh Sports Village.
Under the banner ‘Strength in Numbers’ Miners hope to attract a big crowd as they bit to make further history on a memorable rally behind them as they bid to make further history in what will be a memorable occasion.
Miners Rangers are currently in good form in the National Conference League and top the division after winning at Wakefield side Oulton las weekend.
Leigh Miners made it three wins from three in the league on Saturday afternoon when they beat Oulton Raiders 24-10 on a sunny but blustery day in Yorkshire.
First half tries by Brad Hargreaves and Jonny Youds and two goals by Youds put Miners 12-6 ahead.
The Raiders got on the scoreboard first in the second half but the Twist Lane side battled back with Hargreaves helping himself to a hat-trick while Tommy Parkinson, and Youds adding two goals.
Tickets are priced at £8 adults and £4 concessions and can be bought from the Sports Village box office, the Miners clubhouse and the Britannia pub.
