TYLDESLEY Water Polo and Swimming Club sent three teams to the City of Manchester Water Polo Festival.
There was a boys and girls team at 14 and under and also a mixed 12-and-under side taking on teams from all around the country.
All three teams competed well with the girls finishing eighth overall and the highest-placed girls team in the festival.
The 12-and-under side were in a difficult group with Bolton School and Sedgefield taking the top two slots in the category.
But one of the highlights saw the Pelicans win their last game against Warrington 6-1.
Meanwhile, in the 14-and-under category, out of 16 teams the girls finished eighth and the boys 11th.
A spokesman for Tyldesley Water Polo Club said: “It was a well-organised tournament.
“Tyldesley entered into the spirit of the festival with the coaches using the competition as a development day for all players.”
