LEIGH East suffered their first home league loss of the season to Blackbrook with a 56-20 defeat.

The visitors came with spoiling tactics and it worked against a changed Leigh East outfit.

It was the St Helens side that took the lead on five minutes when Scott Davidson went over, Stephen Parkinson converted but East answered back just five minutes later with two tries from Pat Grainey and two goals from Matt Pendlebury inside four minutes to put the hosts in front 12-6.

On 24 minutes Danny Fairhurst scored for Brook to start off a run, then on the half-hour Jack Parker went over and Parkinson converted.

Jordan Darwin scored just six minutes later and Parkinson's third goal let the visitors lead 12-22 at the break.

Brook started the second half just as they finished the first, in full control and it was just four minutes before they extended their lead through Lee Brown and then again on 48 minutes when Brown went in again and Parkinson's conversion put Blackbrook 12-32 ahead.

Josh Adudwumaa crossed for East on 52 minutes before Brook crossed for two quickfire tries on 55 minutes through Deon Cross and Callum Welsby on 58 minutes.

Again East wouldn't lie down and Craig Wingfield crashed over to complete the scoring for East but Blackbrook weren't finished, Lee Brown completed his hat trick on 65 minutes and Scott Davidson scored in the 72nd and 80th minute to complete his hat-trick with Parkinson and Dan Parkes converted to make the final score 20-56 to Blackbrook.
