IT was a week of mixed results for Atherton Collieries as they played three matches in a week.
There was Bank Holiday heartache as they lost to Evo-Stik First Division side Brighouse in the FA Cup preliminary round going down 2-1 at Alder House.
Brighouse took the lead before Ben Hardcastle equalised just before the break.
But the visitors booked their place in the next round to knock the ball into net.
Colls tried their best to get back in the game but they will feel they missed their chance to progress in the first tie.
Hardcastle was on target in the clash on Saturday and Mark Battersby hit the post with the keeper beaten and then a couple of clearances denied Colls the win as they drew 1-1.
Earlier in the week, Battersby, Hardcastle (two) and James Kirby were on target in the North West Counties Premier League as Michael Clegg's side wrapped up a 4-3 win.
On Saturday, Colls visit Ashton Athletic in the FA Vase.
If a replay is required it will be on Monday.
Should there be no replays Colls go to Runcorn Town on Monday.
