ASTLEY & Tyldesley's Max Evans turned in a terrific performance to take third place in the British u-13 Individual Final at Gt. Blakenham, Suffolk on Sunday.

Max won his opening three races, before lining up against his two main rivals in his last two races.

Unfortunately, both times Max was drawn on the less favourable outside starting grid and had to settle for second place on both occasions, to finish with a total of 18 points out of a possible 20.

Stockport's Michael Preston won the title with a 20 points maximum.

Meanwhile, A&T's Reece Pollitt lined up in the British u-19 Individual Final, also at Gt. Blakenham.

He won two races, on his way to a score of 13 points, which saw him finish in sixth place.

A&T's John White competed in the British u-10 Individual Final at Kesgrave, Suffolk on Saturday.

A last place in his opening ride ended his chances, as he went on to score 10 points and finish in 11th place.
