LEIGH Harriers U15 boys' team finished first in the third and final meeting of the Sportshall League.

Their 181 points saw them finish second in the league after the three matches.

Josh Pardoe was second in the final of the two-lap race with 20.50secs.

He also got second place in the vertical jump with 55cm and was sixth in the shot with 7.03m.

Karran Kapur-Walton also got through to the two-lap final, finishing fourth in 21.27secs.

He matched Josh’s 55cm in the vertical jump to take third after a count back. In the standing triple jump Karran came fourth with a jump of 6.88m.

The U15 girls also did very well, getting a total team score of 255 points for fourth place in this match and third in the league.

Sanna McLean was in top form, getting three first places and a second.

She was first in the six-lap in 73.91secs, first in the standing triple jump with 7.02m, second in the standing long jump with 2.24m and first with Leah Kinsella in the eight-lap parlauf in 93.55secs.

Ella Unsworth came second in the two-lap final in 21.63secs, sixth in the vertical jump with 51cm and eighth in the standing long jump with 1.92m.

Leah was in the four-lap, clocking 47.68secs for fourth place while in the vertical jump she did 52cm for fourth and in the speed bounce achieved 66 for sixth place.

The U13 boys' team came third out of seven teams, scoring 149 points to finish fourth in the league.

Joseph Kinsella was fourth in the two-lap race in 21.72secs, third in the vertical jump with 50cm, and third in the standing long jump with 2.00m.

Cian Walshe ran his two-lap in 24.24secs for 10th, then got third in the standing triple jump with 5.92m and got second in the speed bounce with 74 bounces.

The outnumbered U11 boys' team placed 10th with 108 points, to finish 10th in the league.

Thomas Booth ran a great one-lap race in 12.45sesc, jumped 40cm in the vertical jump and did 43 bounces in the speed bounce. Alfie Nichols did the three-lap in 40.28secs, jumped 33cm in the vertical and threw 11.1m in the javelin.

The U11 girls were also outnumbered but managed to finish ninth out of 13, with 161 points, to finish 12th in the league.

Alex Gridley was third in the one-lap race in 11.62secs; sixth in the three-lap in 36.64secs and fifth in the javelin with12.4m. Scarlet Moss-Turner did a great three-lap in 38.2secs, she got 6.7m in the javelin, and 47 bounces in the speed bounce.

Holly McDermott ran the one-lap in 13.28secs, achieved a vertical jump of 37cm and managed 48 bounces in the speed bounce for eighth place.

The U13 girls fared well with 290 points, placing third out of 11 teams in this match and third overall.

Olivia Ashdown and Caitlin Green both got through to the two-lap final, Olivia finishing third with 22.35secs and Caitlin a close fourth with 22.57secs.

In the four-lap event, Caitlin Green was third in 49.01secs and Gabriella Booth sixth with 50.61secs.

Olivia Ashdown and Katey Jane Gannon, tackling the six-lap race, were second in 79.41secs and eighth with 81.76secs respectively.

In the vertical jump Caitlin's 49cm sealed third place and Gabriella was ninth with 42cm.

Katey came fifth in the long jump with 1.92m, while Gabriella was 10th in the standing triple jump with 5.52m.

In the speed bounce, Olivia and Katey rattled up 66 for 15th and 70 for ninth respectively.

All four girls ran the 2x4 relay in 93.2secs for fifth place.
