ASTLEY & Tyldesley have clinched the Manchester League Division 2 title for the third successive year.

The A&T junior squad took the win in Round 5 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series, at Bury.

In the u10s match, A&T’s John White and Jack Murray both rode to 16 points maximum scores.

The u13s category saw A&T’s Matt Snell lose once, to jointly top score on 15 points.

A&T’s Reece Pollitt raced to a 16 points maximum in the u19s event, as A&T secured the Division 2 title, with one round still to go.

In the Seniors (Division 1) match, Stockport took the team win, to cut Bury’s lead to 1 point, with 1 round remaining.

In the Individual Grand Prix standings after 5 rounds, John White clinched the u-10s title, with Reece Pollitt securing the u19s series.

With one round remaining, Matt Snell leads the u-13s category and Reece Pollitt heads the Senior series.

A youthful A&T squad lined up for Round 4 of the Northern Fours League at Hull on Sunday. In a tightly contested match, A&T were set to take 4th place, but a disputed race exclusion for Reece Pollitt in his last ride proved costly for A&T.

as they finished in 6th place, one point behind both Heckmondwike and Bury Meteors.

Reece had won his previous three races in the match.

A&T’s youngsters turned in a great performance, to take 2nd place in the Northern Junior League Round 4 match.

Once again, both John White and Jack Murray raced unbeaten in the u-10s match.

Matt Snell dropped one point in the u-13s event, as did Reece Pollitt in the u-19s category.
