TYLDESLEY failed in a second successive away fixture, this time to league leaders, Liverpool collegiate, in what was a very entertaining game.
Despite having more possession and territory during the first forty, Bongs went into the interval, 14-5 down.
Liverpool punished two Tyldesley mistakes, crossing for two converted tries. In-between the visitors had a couple of chances too record points, but the host’s line remained intact.
With just over thirty minutes gone, Bongs recorded a well worked try. Another superb thrown from Norton and Crampton catch, set up a strong driving maul, for Zack Sargent too touch down.
The second half was practically all Bongs, but regrettably, the pressure couldn’t be turned into points.
A yellow card for Lee Davies reduced the visitors to fourteen, eleven minutes from time.
Minutes later, the hosts made a rare visit towards the Bongs twenty two and came away with a third converted try, adding to an earlier converted penalty, taking any chance of gaining a losing bonus, away from Tyldesley.
