Leigh fielded yet another changed side to take on third placed Northwich and although they played their hearts out, they came up short again, losing 43-0.

Poor tackling let Northwich through for their first converted try, after eight minutes and they added a penalty to extend their lead to ten points, on twenty minutes.

Another converted try took the sides off at half time with Northwich leading by seventeen points to nil.

Leigh played well in the second half and for long periods had the better of the exchanges and the territory.

Northwich, however, are a class act and they took their opportunities when they were on offer and added four tries, three of which were converted before the final whistle.

Next week there is no game but the week after they travel up to Whitehaven to play St. Benedicts ending their season on the 29th April at home against Vale of Lune.
