LEIGH Miners Rangers seized what could prove a priceless point as they battled back to share the spoils against derby rivals Wigan St Patricks at Clarington Park.

Whilst both teams would have been eyeing the two points to pull away from the lower reaches of the table Miners will perhaps reflect with more satisfaction on their comeback to take a point and with further key fixtures against Skirlaugh (at home on Saturday 20 May 2.30pm) and away at Egremont on Saturday 3 June these coming weeks will be critical in the future progress of their season.

The under-18s had a commanding 56-10 win over Oldham St Annes, Will Ashworth with a hat-trick, Matt Gallagher scoring two and further tries for Anele Hlongwane, Matt Galvin, Ethan Jones, Owen Johnson, Joe Boardman and Joe Digby. Jack Gatcliffe kicked six goals.
