STOCKPORT hosted the second of the Manchester League Individual Finals evenings on Wednesday.

Seven riders contested the u-13 event, which went to a decider in heat 11. The unbeaten Astley & Tyldesley pair of Emily Burgess and John White lined up on grids 1 and 2 respectively. Emily was the quickest away from the tapes and she pulled away to take the win, with John second.

There was a three rider run-off for third place, won by Bury's Harry Radford, who held off a strong challenge by A&T's birthday boy Charlie Burgess, with Bury's Josh Neath third.

A&T's Max Evans was in fine form for the North & Scotland senior team at Wednesfield (Wolverhampton) on Sunday. Max scored an impressive 8 plus 2 bonus points, from three rides, including a win in heat 10, as the North & Scotland team went down 111-88 to a strong Midlands team in the Battle of Britain match.

The North & Scotland fielded five junior riders, who had ridden in the junior match previously, so this was a great effort by all the team.

Max scored 8 plus 1 bonus point from four rides, in the junior match, as the Midlands took a 80-60 victory.
