THE World Cycle Speedway Championships climaxed in Adelaide, South Australia, with six Individual Finals held at the Findon circuit.
Astley & Tyldesley's 15-year-old flyer Max Evans qualified for both the u-16 Boys Individual Final and the Junior u-18 Individual Final.
Evans finished in eight in the u-16 Boys Final and followed this up later in the day with a 9 points haul, including a race win, to finish in 12th in the Junior Final.
A&T's Polish prospect Jakub Kosciecha scored 14 points to finish 5th in the Junior Final. A race exclusion third time out cost him a possible medal placing.
A&T's Mick Knowles overcame a fall in the Veterans Individual Final, to bag a 10 points tally and take 10th place overall.
Earlier in the week, A&T's longest serving rider, Tomasz Wlodarczyk scored an impressive 14 points, as Poland beat Gt. Britain 96-79 in a test match at Le Fevre on Monday evening. Tomasz scored 10 points the following evening, as Poland lost to Australia, 91-86, in a test match at Salisbury.
