LEIGH Centurions will look to complete a Championship double over the Dewsbury Rams on Sunday.

Kieron Purtill’s men scored a 36-0 whitewash over the Rams on March 25.

And that was the victory which started a run of nine successive league wins, only ended by Toronto Wolfpack at Summer Bash.

Rams have won just four of their 17 games and last weekend slipped to a 64-12 defeat at Toronto.

However, coach Purtill insists: “We won’t disrespect anyone.

“We treat every opponent the same and make sure we do the right things.

“Every single game now is almost must win if we want to achieve the top four at the end of the year.”

Despite losing only one of their last 11 Championship games, Leigh remain sixth.

“We have got to be patient,” says Purtill.

“We have been winning games and not really going anywhere with it.

“That’s an indication of how far behind we were.

“However, now we have only got Toronto to play who are above us.

“All the others have to play each other.

“But we need to concentrate on ourselves and make sure we win our games coming up.”

Purtill insists his team selection for Sunday won’t have any bearing on the impending first ever trip to Canada the weekend after.

Micky Higham remains side-lined with a hamstring injury that has seen him miss the last two games.

Nathan Mason is also unavailable with knee trouble while Peter Mata’utia and Matty Dawson-Jones serve the third of their five match bans.

“If you start taking your eye off the ball you will get in trouble,” says Purtill.

“We will focus on Dewsbury first, hopefully get the win and then think about Toronto.

The game at the Tetley’s Stadium kicks off at 4pm to accommodate fans who may want to watch England’s return to World Cup action against Panama (1pm)

Meanwhile, Leigh have recalled Australian forward Kyle Lovett from his loan spell at League One Workington Town.

Lovett, who has only started three games for Centurions since arriving from Wests Tigers made one appearance for the Cumbrians-a 38-18 win over Newcastle Thunder.

Leigh have been allocated 100 tickets for the Challenge Cup Final.

Tickets in this area are normally £30 for adults, but the club are selling them at £20 for adults and £10 for under 17s.

The club retain 100% of all tickets purchased for this fixture via the Leigh SV ticket office.
